About Even Footing
Even Footing covers gyms, personal trainers, martial arts, dance and swim schools, driving schools, tutors and childcare centres across Australia, with a list for every town, suburb and state where enough of them are rated.
Every list puts each business on the same footing: one published method, refreshed on the first of each month. A rating reflects members’ and families’ experience. Childcare services also carry an official quality rating under the National Quality Framework, which you can look up on Starting Blocks.
Even Footing ranks Australian gyms, coaches, schools and childcare centres by their Google rating, adjusted for how many reviews stand behind it, so five stars from four reviews doesn’t outrank 4.9 from four hundred.
Even Footing is run by the Even Footing team and has been published since 11 October 2026. It lists 18,937 businesses in 1,059 lists, with figures as of October 2026.
Ratings, review counts and opening hours come from Google Business Profiles. The year a business started comes from its own website.
